In Tuesday, 7 September 2004, IPD Cup started in Sanbawla Stadium in Afgoi. The Cup will be participated by 6 teams from Mogadishu, Afgoi, Wanlaweyn and Barave. This IPD Cup was organized by Kanava Youth Center, and sponsored by UNICEF and Mogadishu University, and will end in the International Day of Peace 21st September of this year.

This cup was intended to encourage the peace process in Somalia. Kanava emphasizes sport activities, because it can take part in the rehabilitation of youth and generates culture of peace for the country.

Kanava Youth Center wills to arrange a National Cup for the International Day of Peace in the coming year, which will be participated by the most of the regions in Somalia.
