Kanava Youth holds seminar and workshops, which is aimed to improve
the knowledge and perception of youth society in order to undertake
with the development of the world day after day.
Seminars:
1 - 4 Jan 2006, Kanava Mogadishu organized seminar on "Effective
Meeting".
19 - 20 July 2005, Kanava Mogadishu organized two-day seminar
on "Youth Leadership Program".
5 - 6 July 2005, Kanava Mogadishu held seminar on the "Effect
of Technology on Human Development".
10 - 30 October 2004, the center held seminars improving youth
mentality, both male and female from youth associations and
secondary school students participated, and they were awarded
participation certificates.
15-18 January 2003, the center held seminars about Youth
Associations and their role in Journalism.
22 October 2003, the center held seminar about Leadership
Qualities, which is participated by Youth Association In Banadir
Province.
1-2 Jan 2004, the center held seminar about Project Proposal
& Development, which is adhered by 20 graduates from Mogadishu
University.
1-2 Jan 2004, the center held seminars about Conflict Resolution.
20 participants from secondary schools played part in.
27-29 Feb 2004, the center held seminars about the Development
of Youth Association in co-operation with facilitators from
UNICEF.
Workshops:
28 July 2005, Kanava Mogadishu held a one-day workshop on
"the Role of Social Association over Reconciliation of
the Country"
15 January 2003, the center held workshop about Women and
their role in Somali Peace Process.
20 May 2003, the center held workshop about HIV/AIDS, how
to prevent and arise the awareness of the society to this dangerous
virus. Medical doctors and students of the High Institute of
Nursing of Mogadishu University participated this workshop.
17 July 2003, the center held workshop about how youth society
take part in the eradication process of illiteracy. Youth Organizations
and students of secondary schools in Banadir participated in
this workshop.
